Mr. Philip Miller Leads Delegation in Shanxi Province

Mr. Philip Miller, Head of Mission of the Embassy of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas in China and Ms. Fiona Han, Embassy staff member, as invited guests of the Shanxi People's Government, visited Pingyao, one of the World Cultural Heritage Sites of Shanxi Province, from 25 to 27 January, 2008. Mr. Miller led a delegation of Diplomats from Malaysia, Russia and Turkey.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
On January 26, they visited the memorial hall in Jinci in Taiyuan, the capital city of Shanxi Province, and then moved to the ancient city of Pingyao, to view the city walls, stores, commodity street and the county court. The delegation was wamly welcomed by Vice-Governor of Shanxi Province, Mr. Liang Bin.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
In the evening, the delegation attended the launch ceremony for the Mobilization Meeting for the 2008 Beijing Olympics, and the Celebration Festival for tourism cooperation between Beijing and Shanxi.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
On January 27, they visited a famous manor house of the Wang family in Shanxi’s history.
